Orientação pelo sol e pela bússola Orientation by sun and compass.
Last Saturday we learn to steer by the sun and the compass.

Last Saturday we learn to steer by the sun and the compass.
One of the most primitive orientation was performed by observing the stars. During a long time travelers often used this device and the main references were the sun, moon and stars. However, the location was not accurate as the guidance provided by modern instruments.
But it is possible to have on hand without guiding instruments of guidance and compass, GPS, maps and more. The person must know in which direction the sun rises (east). From there you can place your right arm toward the sun, the front of the person corresponds to the north, the south is automatically ago and, consequently, the west is toward the left arm, where the sun sets .

One of the most important navigation tools that emerged in history is the compass. It consists of a box with a magnetized needle in half, pointing to the cardinal point North. The compass was of great importance for the development of civilization in the sixteenth century, the Age of Discovery with the exploration, but his story begins in the first century in China, when it was invented.
The existence of rocks with the ability to attract metal was discovered by Thales of Miletus in the seventh century a. C., according to the Greek philosopher Aristotle. But it was the century that the Chinese invented the compass, using as feedstock a spoon that pointed to the South Nine hundred years later this scoop was replaced by a sheet of iron and was called fish-that-points-o- south. He earned this name because of the leaf used to be in the form of fish. The Chinese magnetize the sheet by heating it until red hot and then soaking it in water. Then put the leaf in a container of standing water. The leaf-shaped fish, magnetized, the tail pointing to the North. Later in the eleventh century, replaced the sheet by a needle, suspended by a silk thread.
In 1302, the sailor and inventor Flavio Gioia perfected the compass, put the needle on a card with a drawing of a compass card, which facilitated the orientation. In some designs, the East, marked on the compass card, was replaced by drawing a cross, showing the location of the Holy Land.
It was in 1417 that intellectuals belonging to the School of Sagres, a pioneer in marine technology, developed the model of the compass we know today, protected by a glass cover to prevent interference from other metals. Its name comes from the Italian "compass" which means "little box".

Arrumando a Mochila
- Material para comer: prato e copo de plástico ou metal, talheres (garfo, faca e colher);
- Material para dormir: saco de dormir, colchonete ou colchão, travesseiro se for usar, coberta, cobertor ou lençol (dependendo da temperatura);
- Material de higiene: toalha, sabonete, escova e creme dental, pente, papel higiênico;
- Sacolas plásticas para trazer a roupa suja ou molhada e o lixo produzido;
Dicas e regras:
1. Não utilize como mochila, sacolas plásticas ou sacos;
2. Evite levar suas coisas em várias mochilas pequenas;
3. Evite levar na sua mochila mais do que possa carregar;
4. Pendure do lado de fora da mochila o saco de dormir, cobertor e agasalho pesado somente se a mochila possui os dispositivos adequados. Não amarre com cordinhas ou fios;
5. Todos os materiais devem ser separados em sacolas plásticas, pois, além de ser mais higiênico e organizado, o material estará protegido em caso de sermos pego de surpresa por uma chuva;

Yesterday was a very special day: In the morning I attended the trawler Solidarity.
We in the Church N. Mrs. Mediatrix waiting trucks arrive to unload the food and clothing donated by the community of Vila Nova.
A tarde fiz minha promessa de Lobinho.
The afternoon I made my promise to wolf cub.
"Prometo fazer o melhor possível para:
Cumprir meus deveres para com Deus e minha Pátria;
Obedecer a lei do Lobinho e fazer diariamente uma boa ação".
"I promise to do our best to:
My duty to God and my country;
Obey the law of the wolf cub and do a good deed every day. "
I - O Lobinho ouve sempre os Velhos Lobos;
II - O Lobinho pensa primeiro nos outros;
III - O Lobinho abre os olhos e os ouvidos;
IV - O Lobinho é limpo e está sempre alegre;
V - O Lobinho diz sempre a verdade.
The law of the wolf cub is one, composed of five articles:
I - Lobinho always hear the Old Wolf;
II - The wolf cub thinks of others first;
III - The wolf cub opens eyes and ears;
IV - The wolf cub is clean and is always cheerful;
V - The Lobinho always tells the truth.
And to close with a golden key that special day, my mother agreed to be boss! Now I have to help her in preparing for his promise. This will be fun.
